New “epigenetic” technology will enable U.S. defense and intelligence operatives to know if a person has been involved with WMDs in the near or distant past. Researchers have discovered that our DNA keeps a record of everything we’ve been exposed to and when. Epigenomes register when modifications in DNA within a person occurred DNA doesn’t change over a person’s lifetime, but how it’s “expressed” can.
Yep, it’s complex stuff. The upshot is that with this new tech, our folks can immediately tell if a bad guy’s been involved in WMD creation processes, no matter how long ago. That’s a very big deal. We’ll see what comes of this tech from an investing standpoint. Learn more here.
