Iran has been counterfeiting millions in Yemen’s currency lately, to help fund radical groups operating there and elsewhere and undermine other Arab currencies, in particular, Saudi Arabia’s. But the bogus bucks don’t stop there.
It’s suspected that the Iranians are teaching the North Koreans a thing or two about phony funds. Counterfeit currency from China, South Korea, Japan and the U.S. has been traced back to the Norks, who’ve been paying for all kinds of goods with fake money passed around via their diplomatic pouches.
